   Shake the gin, lemon juice and syrup with ice for 15 seconds, until cold, and strain into a champagne flute. (They can also go straight into the flute unshaken; up to 4 drinks can be shaken at once.)

   Top with the champagne.

   Party pitcher (8 drinks)

   1. 1.
      In a pitcher, stir together 1 1/2 cups gin, 3/4 cup lemon juice and 1/2 cup simple syrup and refrigerate until serving (or stir with a handful of ice, then discard the ice).

      For each drink, pour 3 oz (6 tablespoons) of the gin mixture into a glass and top with 3 oz champagne.
