Whiskey Sour (Love and Lemons)

A bourbon sour with an optional egg white for a foamy top, dry-shaken first and finished with a few drops of bitters. Without the egg it is lighter and brighter.

Ice: cubes
Garnish: aromatic bitters (Angostura), orange slice, maraschino cherry

Ingredients

Multiply

2 oz bourbon
3/4 oz lemon juice
1/2 oz simple syrup
1/2 oz egg white, optional

Instructions

1.
Shake the bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup and egg white, if using, without ice for 30 seconds to whip the egg white. Add ice and shake again until well chilled.
2.
Strain into a rocks glass with ice and dot the top with 3 to 4 drops of aromatic bitters.
