2 oz whiskey (bourbon preferred)
1 oz lemon juice
3/4 to 1 oz simple syrup

Instructions

Add the whiskey, lemon juice and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker. Fill with a handful of ice and shake until very cold.

Strain into a rocks glass over ice.
