A modern classic that infuses blended Scotch with ginger, lemon and honey syrup, finished with a float of smoky single malt on top.

Glass: rocks glass
Ice: large cube
Garnish: candied ginger or lemon peel

Ingredients

Multiply

4 thin slices peeled ginger, about 3/4 inch round
2 oz blended scotch
1 oz lemon juice
3/4 oz honey syrup
1/2 oz single malt scotch

Instructions

1.
Muddle the ginger in the bottom of a cocktail shaker until mashed and its juices release.
2.
Add the blended scotch, lemon juice and honey syrup with ice and shake until cold.
3.
Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
4.
Pour the single malt scotch over the back of a spoon just above the surface of the drink to create a floating layer.
