Margarita (Love and Lemons)

An even-parts margarita: equal tequila, orange liqueur and lime, softened with a half measure of agave and shaken over ice. Taste and add more agave at the end.

Garnish: salt rim (optional), lime slices

Ingredients

Multiply

1 oz blanco tequila
1 oz orange liqueur (Cointreau, Grand Marnier or triple sec)
1 oz lime juice
1/2 oz agave nectar or simple syrup, plus more to taste

Instructions

1.
If salting the rim, rub a lime wedge around the rim of the glass and dip it in a plate of coarse salt. Fill the glass with ice.
2.
Shake the tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice and agave with ice, then strain into the glass.
3.
Taste and stir in more agave if needed.
