Boulevardier (A Couple Cooks)

A Negroni with bourbon in place of gin, a little stronger at 1 1/2 oz bourbon to an ounce each of sweet vermouth and Campari, served over ice.

Ingredients

Multiply

1 1/2 oz bourbon
1 oz sweet or semi-sweet red vermouth
1 oz Campari

Instructions

1.
Stir the bourbon, vermouth and Campari with a handful of ice for 30 seconds.
2.
Strain into an ice-filled lowball glass (or into a cocktail glass, without ice).
3.
Cut a 1-inch-wide strip of orange peel, squeeze it over the drink to release the oils, run it around the rim and drop it in.
