   Put the lemon juice in a blender with half the tomato juice, the Worcestershire sauce, horseradish, hot sauce, celery seeds and salt. Blend on high until smooth, about 1 minute.

   Pour into an 8-cup or larger pitcher (10-cup if making the pitcher drink) and stir in the remaining tomato juice. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, ideally overnight. Chill the vodka too.

   Taste the mix and season with more salt and hot sauce as needed, or serve the hot sauce on the side.

   For each drink, fill a Collins glass halfway with ice, pour in 2 oz vodka, top with about 6 oz of the mix and stir until just combined.

      Stir all of the vodka into the pitcher of mix. Pour into ice-filled glasses, stirring before each pour, since the tomato mix and vodka separate as they sit.

      The mix keeps, covered and refrigerated, for up to 4 days, as does any leftover pitcher drink. Stir before serving.
